Three numbers, three agencies

Asking for the wrong number is a common reason a search comes back empty.

Federal EIN: Internal Revenue Service; Identifies the business for federal tax. It is the same number in every state.; Source: irs.gov
File number: Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Business Registration Division (BREG); Identifies the entity's record in the Hawaii registry.
General Excise Tax (GET) license number: Hawaii Department of Taxation; Hawaii's general excise tax license is issued by the Department of Taxation, separate from the Business Registration Division file number. The federal EIN is issued by the IRS.
